The Short Answer

Every Place Gets
Its Own Page

Multi-location local SEO works when every town or neighbourhood you serve has its own page, its own search campaign and its own local proof. SET builds a location page for each area, matches ad copy and targeting to that page, and keeps Google Business Profile, reviews and directory listings consistent. One contractor client now runs this across eight Ontario communities.

The Method

Four Layers

A page for each place

Each town or neighbourhood gets a page with local copy, local projects and local questions answered. Thin copies of one template do not rank.

Campaigns that match the map

Each search campaign targets the area its page serves, and its ads send clicks to that page, so the copy matches the place.

Local proof

Project cards, reviews and FAQs written for each community, labelled with the right town and region.

One consistent profile

Google Business Profile, directories and site schema all carry the same name, hours and service areas.

Client Result

Eight Communities,
One Contractor

Cobourg Construction & Renovation serves Northumberland County and beyond from Cobourg, Ontario. SET runs the website, SEO and Google Ads.

  • Eight location pages: Cobourg, Port Hope, Peterborough, Clarington, Brighton, Northumberland County, Belleville and Trenton, each rewritten with community-specific copy and FAQs.
  • Local questions answered: lake properties in the Kawarthas, seasonal cottage conversions near Brighton, newer Bowmanville versus older Newcastle homes, and older homes near the Bay of Quinte.
  • Targeting fixed to match the map: a campaign named for Peterborough was targeting Port Hope. It now targets Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes and Trent Lakes.
  • Ads matched to pages: Port Hope and Peterborough ads now send clicks to their own location pages instead of the homepage.
  • Regions labelled correctly: project cards now read Durham Region for Clarington and Quinte Region for Belleville and Trenton.
The numbers

Google Ads, 17 August to 15 September 2026: CA$69.21 cost per lead, 44% below the CA$124.56 category benchmark, from 66.5 form fills and 11 calls. Published with the client’s permission. Full case.

For Toronto

Toronto Works
the Same Way

A Toronto business with locations or customers in Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough and downtown needs the same structure: a page per area with real local detail, campaigns targeted to match, and profiles that agree. The common mistake is one page listing every neighbourhood, which ranks for none of them.

Questions

Common Questions

How do you do local SEO for a business with several locations?

Give every location or service area its own page with local detail, match search campaign targeting to those pages, and keep Google Business Profile and directory details consistent everywhere.

Should each neighbourhood have its own page?

Yes, when you genuinely serve it and can write something specific about it. One page listing every neighbourhood rarely ranks for any of them.

Do you have a multi-location example?

Yes. SET runs local SEO and Google Ads for Cobourg Construction & Renovation across eight Ontario communities, with a location page and matched campaigns for each.

What does it cost?

Multi-location search programs fall in our Search Growth tier, CA$6,500 to 9,500 a month plus ad spend. See pricing.
